Mai Mati Foundation has worked as Maitreya Agro for the past 3 years. So far, we have worked in several villages  in India and have improved the livelihoods of more than 5000 farmers.


We work with 90 Kisan Maitreya Groups (farmer collectives) in Maharashtra, Assam, Kashmir, and Kerala:

  • 30 villages
  • Worked with 5000+ farmers
  • Formed 90 farmer groups of ~20 farmers each
  • Marketed 1000+ tons of fruits, vegetables, and grains

Special Crops and Yield

Our farmers grow high-value and high-demand crops such as Khapli wheat and black rice. We’ve given our farmers free seeds to grow:

  • Over 50 acres of Khapli wheat
  • 100 acres of black rice
  • 10 acres Moringa
  • Organic garlic and other vegetables

Training Initiatives

We train our farmers in organic, sustainable, and waterless farming techniques, so they can support their families during drought.
